Our complicated guardians -PART 1

To be honest, I think I'm in love with a guy named kyuhyun from the famous boy band in Asia. Super junior. I mean, what's not to love? He's cute, he's handsome, he's smart...literally like really academically smart, he's funny, he could sing..hahaha * I know I said before that I will never ever like a korean guy, so you guys can have the last laugh now*

BUT...I am not gonna talk about how amazing he is (although I think I just did..). I just wanna say that watching the video below really makes me realize something: PARENTS ARE A COMPLEX CREATURE.

OK, I know you might not want to watch the whole clip due to internet "fast" connection, so I'm gonna spill some little details about it. 

^^Kyuhyun - car accident - seriously injured - 6 broken ribs - punctured his lungs - doctor is skeptical about him survivng  - had to perform an operation on his throat - will lose his voice - byebye dreams and career.^^

so here are some dialogues between the doctor and Kyuhyun's dad (maybe),

Dr.: We have to perform an operation on his throat to save him.  He can no longer sing after this. He will lose his voice. Even with this operation, he has only 20% chance to live.

His dad: This kid wants to be a singer. If you take away his voice, how could he live his life? You're taking away all that he is..

Dr.: He's your son! how could you still think of saving his dream instead of his life right now?

His dad: No you have to do it with another method.

SO..another senior doctor performed an operation without the needs to sacrifice Kyuhyun's voice. He could still sing after that. 

SOOOOO......what the hell is my point?? 

my point is, Kyuhyun's dad has an educator background. Once, he said " How can an educator's son be a singer?" .

Off course, as a parent, he is concerned with the future of his child. He was against it. I mean, yeaa..sure you're a famous singer now, but where does it put you in another 20-30 years? the korean pop idols do not make plenty of money anyways..

But, as I said before, PARENTS ARE COMPLEX CREATURES..

They're the ones who protect our dreams in times that we never imagine they would. 

It is unthinkable. You know, sometimes we feel they don't listen nd they don't understand? I get the feeling that we are wrong. 

OFF COURSE they are not perfect, they do have many flaws, but so do we.

For some reasons, I really feel connected with this father-and-son-tale. Thaaaaat...I will tell you in another post..*that's why this is called part 1, duh~~"
